Funeral services for Rudolph E. Sandegren, 89, Altoona, who died at Iowa Lutheran Hospital on Monday, July 18, will be held Thursday, July 21 at 11 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Des Moines. Hamilton's Funeral Home, Des Moines, is in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be after 12 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in the Lawn Hill Cemetery, Stanhope.

Sandegren was born in Frankfurt, Kansas and lived most of his life in Des Moines. He retired as a landscaper in 1980. He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Des Moines, where memorials may be made.

He is survived by four daughters: Ione Jolly, Olympia, WA.; Frances Bodgley, Sutter Creek, CA; Dorothy Dix, Salem, OR., and Lois Leichsenring, Nixa, MO. He is also survived by four sons: John, Ottumwa; Rich, Madrid; James, Dayton, OH and Dennis, Altoona. He had 14 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
