Leora Redic, 92, Webster City, died Jan. 3, 1996 at Crestview Manor Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Christian Church in Stanhope, with Rev. Richard Morris officiating. Burial will be at Lawn Hill Cemetery, southeast of Stanhope. Visitation will be at Foster Funeral Home after 5 p.m. tonight until 9:30 a.m. Friday, when the casket will be taken to the church.

Leora Frances Philp, daughter of George and Jessie Robinson Philp, was born May 27, 1903 at Reinbeck. She was educated in Reinbeck. She taught school at Reinbeck and Ayrshire. On March 5, 1924 she married Emmet C. Redic. The couple resided in Waterloo and Stanhope. She was employed as a postal clerk in Stanhope for 25 years. Her husband died in January of 1955. She had also resided in Kamrar. She had been a resident at Crestview Manor since 1990.

She is survived by son, Gerald Redic, Somers; granddaughter, Pamela Bustamante, Dexter, N.M.; two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Floral Johnson, Spencer. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Evan Philp.

She was a member of the United Postal Workers of America.
