Mrs. Munsinger Dies at 63

Mrs. James A. Munsinger, 63, longtime resident of the Stanhope community, died early this morning at the Hamilton county hospital following a short illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Christian church at Stanhope with the Rev. Robert Karl Miller officiating and with burial in the Lawn Hill cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Monday when it will be taken to the church.

Lettie Scott, daughter of William Lelburn and Nettie Scott, was born Oct. 24, 1900 on a farm near Stratford. She attended the White Elephant school near Stratford and grew to young womanhood in that community.

She was united in marriage Aug. 20, 1919 to James A. Munsinger, and the couple farmed for six years in the Stanhope community before moving into Stanhope, where they had since resided.

She is survived by her husband, two daughters and two sons: Mrs. George (Marie) Mourlam of Clarion; Mrs. Lowell (Doris) Kilmer of Stanhope, Marion Munsinger of Eldora and Marvin Munsinger of Randall; 14 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

She is also survived by her mother, Mrs. Nettie Scott of Stratford, three brothers and three sisters; Frank Scott, Stratford, Guy Scott, Webster City, Harold Scott, Stratford, Mrs. John (Ettie) Hoffman, Vacaville, Calif., Mrs. Clinton (Esther) Pullar of Mentor, Minn., Mrs. Kenneth (Fern) Davis of Stratford; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one son, Delbert and her father.

Mrs. Munsinger was a member of the Christian church at Stanhope and also of the Royal Neighbors lodge.
