Esther Muessigmann, 71, Webster City, formerly of Stanhope, died Jan. 14, 1993 at Hamilton County Public Hospital. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Mark Buchhop and Vicar Peter Utecht officiating. Burial in Lawn Hill Cemetery, southeast of Stanhope. Visitation is after 5 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home until 8 a.m. Monday when the casket will be taken to the church.

Esther Louise Seims, daughter of Henry and Freda (Miller) Seims, was born Sept. 4, 1921 at Geneva. She graduated from high school there.

On Aug. 10, 1938 she married Paul Muessigmann in Riceville. They resided in Stanhope. She was a homemaker. Her husband died January 1976. She has resided at Southfield Care Center since September 1992.

She is survived by sons, Richard and William, both of Stanhope, Donald of Nora Springs, Gerald at Aberdeen, S.D., Duane of Santee, Calif.; daughter, Phyllis Range of Ames; 18 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Sena Ibeling of Ackley, Marie Voy and Lena Silver, both of Geneva, and Dorothy Harper of Hansel. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Paulina Lybarger in 1977; her parents; and sister, Edith Horner.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Stanhope Senior Citizens.
