Lillian D. Miller, 84, Story City, died Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2001 at Bethany Manor in Story City. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City with burial in the Lawn Hill Cemetery near Stanhope. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.

Lillian Dagny Selheim, daughter of Klaus and Synnove Blomdal Selheim, was born May 23, 1916 in Hamilton County. She lived in Stanhope, Clear Lake and Des Moines. She drove a school bus for Webster City Community Schools, and kept the books for the bus barn. She was the co-owner of the Sunset Boat Livery in Clear Lake and the bookkeeper for Hanson PM Marine in Clear Lake. She also worked for the Maid-Rite in Story City and was a cook at Northcrest in Ames.

Survivors are her three daughters, Marlene Sebring, Story City, Kathleen Newton of Las Vegas, Nev., Bonnie Jean Neese, Colfax; two sons, Richard D. Miller and Raymond E. Miller, both of Virginia; one brother, Lloyd Selheim of Denver, Colo.; one sister, Charlotte Long, Waldorf, Md., 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Dorothea Stark and one brother, Norman Selheim.
