Harvey (Buss) Olmstead, 47, died at 6 a.m. today at the Hamilton county hospital where he had been a patient the past week. He had been in ill health the past several years.

Time and services will be announced tomorrow.

Harvey Norman Olmstead, son of Fred and Emma Olmstead, was born Dec. 27, 1913, at Webster City. He was reared and educated in this community.

He was united in marriage Sept. 20, 1934, to Lila McFarland, and the couple always resided in Webster City.

He served in World War II, and after his discharge he was employed at the Royal 400 station for 14 years. He later operated a taxi service in Webster City. Since July, 1960 he had been manager of the Zip Oil Co.

He is survived by his wife; one son and two daughters, Ronald, Linda and Karen, all at home; three brothers and three sisters, Roy and Raymond Olmstead, Mrs. Walter Raner, Mrs. Judell Roe and Mrs. Ray Van Ohlen, all of Webster City, and Harold Olmstead of Eagle Grove.

He was preceded in death by a daughter who died in infancy; his parents, and three brothers, lyle and Earnest, who died in 1939, and Howard, who was killed in action in World War II in 1944.

Mr. Olmstead was a member of the American Legion at Webster City.

OLMSTEAD RITES TO BE SATURDAY

Funeral services for Harvey (Buss) Olmstead, 47, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Foster funeral home with the Rev. Robert Scott officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Olmstead died at 6 a.m. Wednesday at the Hamilton county hospital.

Military services will be held at the graveside.

He is survived by his wife; one son and two daughters, Ronald, Linda and Karen, all at home; three brothers and three sisters, Roy and Raymond Olmstead, Mrs. Walter Raner, Mrs. Judell Roe and Mrs. Ray Van Ohlen, all of Webster City and Harold Olmstead of Eagle Grove.
