Henry (Hank) Fister, 71, of rural Webster City, died Friday, March 13 at the Hamilton County hospital following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17 at the Foster Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Lawn Hill Cemetery at Stanhope.

Visitation will be after 3 p.m. Sunday.

Roland Henry Fister, son of William and Lillian Robinson Fister, was born Feb. 16, 1916 at Summitt, S.D. At the age of two, he moved with his parents to the Jefferson area.

On Sept. 23, 1938, he married Mary E. Kendall at Jefferson. The couple resided in the Jefferson area. Two sons and three daughters were born.

The family moved to the Homer area in 1952 where he farmed. He later worked with his brother in a tire sales business. For several years, he worked with Keith Draper.

May 29, 1959, he married Phyllis Reedman Riley at Jackson, Minn. The couple had always resided in the Webster City area. Most recently, he had owned and operated his own tire sales and service business.

Survivors are his wife; two sons and three daughters, Rolland of Norfolk, Neb., Betty (Mrs. Jim) Haga of Scottsville, Va., Donna (Mrs. Wallace) Wildt of Stanhope, Pat Heiden of Yale, and Russell of Webster City; one step-son and four step-daughters, Dan Riley, Sandy (Mrs. Vern) Hetland, Shirley (Mrs. Darrell) Jensen, all of Webster City, Cindy (Mrs. Jerry) Hilton of Brooklyn, Debra (Mrs. Roger) Consier of Clarion; 21 grandchildren, nine step-grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren; three sisters and one brother, Elsie (Mrs. Gus) Forgey of San Diego, Russell of Ann Arbor, Mich., Frances (Mrs. Mel) Markham of Claremore, Okla., Gloria (Mrs. Doyle) Thede of Perry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one step-granddaughter, one great-granddaughter, four brothers and eight sisters.
