STANHOPE - Funeral services for Ethel A. Dick of Keokuk were held Feb. 23 at the Vieth Funeral Home at Oakland with the Rev. D. Ward Young of the Oakland United Methodist Church officiating.

Casket bearers were Delmar Busse, Lloyd Davis, Reid McRory, Carl Evans, Frank McArthur and Warren White and organist was Elsie Rapp.

Burial was at Lawn Hill Cemetery southeast of Stanhope with the Rev. Dwight McElree officiating at a short committal service.

Mrs. Dick was born in Stanhope Oct. 6, 1893, the daughter of Charles and Elizabeth McFarland Davis. She married Dr. Leo G. Dick in 1915 and the couple moved to Oakland after his graduation from the University of Iowa Dental School in 1915.

Dr. Dick practiced dentistry in Oakland from 1915 until his retirement in the early 1970s and the couple then moved to Keokuk where their daughter lives. Dr. Dick died Jan. 12, 1976 in Keokuk.

Ethel Dick was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Chapter EO of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Oakland Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, the District and the State Dental Ladies Auiliary and the Fortnightly Embroidery Club.

She is survived by a daughter, Shirley Dick of Keokuk; two brothers, Charles Davis of Webster City and Clair Davis of Neosha, Mo.; and one sister, Irene Whalen of Stanhope.

She was preceded in death by her husband, four brothers and one sister.
