Marty Anderson, 16, of Stanhope, died of a self inflicted gunshot wound Tuesday, Sept. 16.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 19 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Stanhope, with the Rev. Neal Solomonson officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today until 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Foster Funeral Home.

Marty Raye Anderson, son of Murray and Beatrice Busch Anderson, was born Dec. 26, 1969 at Webster City and received his education at South Hamilton School in Jewell.

Survivors are his parents; two sisters, Letitia and Melissa Anderson; grandparents, Irvin and Lillian Busch of Ellsworth, and Ethel Anderson of Stanhope, great-grandparents, Hannah Twedt of Radcliffe and Bertha Busch of Algona.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather.

He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church and had been involved in South Hamilton wrestling.
