STANHOPE - Clarence Anderson, 61, longtime barber and hair stylist, died suddenly here last evening, after apparently suffering a heart attack.

Mr. Anderson died at about 9:40 last evening after having been found in front of a neighbor's home where he had apparently been stricken while walking home from his shop.

Funeral services are pending and will be announced Monday.

Mr. Anderson is survived by his wife, Alice; one brother, Alvin Anderson, of Stanhope, and one sister, Mrs. Emil (Esther) Peterson of Stratford.

Funeral services for Clarence Anderson, 61, Stanhope barber and hair stylist, were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Hanson funeral home in Stratford with the Rev. Robert Ruppert officiating.

Pallbearers were Floyd Crim, Ed Iverson, Clarence Fosberg, Charlie Day, Roy David and John Walker.

Mrs. Dalton Fisher was the soloist and Mrs. Cleo Bell was pianist for the services.

Mr. Anderson died suddenly Friday evening after suffering a heart attack.

Burial was made in the Lawn Hill cemetery at Stanhope.

Clarence Waldon Anderson, son of Charles and Ida Anderson, was born July 7, 1898, at Stanhope, died Nov. 5, 1959 at Stanhope at the age of 61 years.

He was baptized in the Lutheran faith at Stanhope and attended Sunday school and church at the Stanhope Christian church.

He was united in marriage to Alice Stout on Aug. 3, 1959, at Boone, Iowa.

Surviving are his wife; one brother, Alvin Anderson of Stanhope, and one sister, Mrs. Emil (Esther) Peterson of Stratford.

Mr. Anderson was widely known as a hair stylist and barber having operated a shop in Stanhope for many years.
