MRS. WOOD, 69, DIES AT HOME

Rites Friday, Burial to Be at Williams

Mrs. Fielding Wood, 69, lifelong resident of the Williams community, died at 4:45 yesterday afternoon at her farm home two miles southeast of Williams. She had suffered a stroke from which she never fully recovered. She had been in ill health for the past year and a half.

Solemn requiem mass will be sung by the Rev. Father F.W. McKinley at 9 a.m. Friday at the Catholic church in Williams. Burial will be in the Williams Catholic cemetery. The rosary will be said at 8 o'clock Thursday and Friday evenings at the farm home.

The daughter of Patrick and Mary Doyle, Honor Doyle was born Dec. 1, 1876 on a farm north of Williams. She was educated and grew to young woman hood in that community. She was married to Fielding Wood Feb. 26, 1900. They spent their entire married lives on farms in the Williams community, living for the past 34 years at their present home.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, four brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Arlo Minard of Williams, and Marcella, at home, one son, Lyle of Mason City, four grandchildren, John, Leona, Daryl Minard and Janet Wood, one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Murphy of Monrovia, Calif., several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Mrs. Wood was a member of the Rosary society and of the Royal Neighbors. A kind and generous woman, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
