Mrs. James Scott died at her home north of Blairsburg Tuesday, April 25, of dropsy of the heart at the age of 60 years. She was born in Wisconsin in 1853 and was united in marriage in 1870 to Mr. James Scott and came to Iowa in 1872. There were born to her eight children, John Scott of Blairsburg, Mrs. Wille of Webster City, Nora McFarland of San Francisco, Geo. Scott of Williams, Chas. Scott of Blairsburg, Mae Scott of Fairmont, Minn., and Mrs. Chas. Carpenter of Woolstock. There are eleven grandchildren.
