Funeral services for Mrs. Oscar Schweppe, 71, longtime Williams resident, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic church in Williams with the Rev. Father H.P. Nosbisch officiating and with burial being made in the Williams Catholic cemetery. Rosary will be both Saturday and Sunday nights at 7:30 at the family home in Williams.

The body will lie in state at Foster's until 7 p.m. Saturday, at which time it will be taken to the family home.

Mrs. Schweppe died Thursday morning at her home. She had been in failing health for several years but more seriously ill the past three months.

Marty [headstone says Mary] Agnes Matz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Matz, was born March 3, 1890, in Canada. When she was a small girl, she moved with her parents to Wesley, Iowa, where she was reared and educated.

She was united in marriage to Oscar Schweppe June 26, 1911, and the couple farmed at Wadena, Minn. for several years, then moved to Webster City where they lived for two years. For the past 36 years the family had lived in Williams. They observed their 50th wedding anniversary in June of this year.

She is survived by her husband, four sons and two daughters: Lawrence Schweppe, Baldwin Park, Calif., Arthur Schweppe, at home, Leo Schweppe, Wethersfield, Conn., Francis Schweppe, Milwaukee, Wis., Mrs. Edward (Eileen) Schuh, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Harry (Irene) Solberg of Williams; 13 grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Isabel Hildman, Plymouth, Iowa, Mrs. Salvester Decker, Clear Lake, Henry Matz, Britt and Jule Matz of Wesley and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, two daughters, one sister and one brother.

Mrs. Schweppe was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church and a member of the St. Mary's Guild.
