Arthur B. Schweppe, 74, of Williams, died Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 17, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Williams.

Schweppe was born April 21, 1915, in Hamilton County, the son of Oscar and Mary (Matz) Schweppe. He was a 1934 graduate of the Williams High School. He was a self-employed painter and a member of the Williams American Legion Post 633. He served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Surviving are three brothers: Lawrence of Baldwin Park, Cal., Leo of Weatherfield, Con., and Francis of Watertown, Wisc.; and twin sisters Irene Hetland of Williams and Eileen Schuh of Milwaukee, Wisc. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
