Daily Freeman Tribune, Webster City, Iowa, Friday, August 14, 1914

Michel Gleason, for many years residing upon his farm a couple miles southeast of Blairsburg, died at his home a few days ago, of cancer. He had suffered from the disease since about two years ago and went to Rochester this summer to interview the famous Mayo Bro's, but received no permanent benefit. He was able to put in his crop this spring, but was able to do little more and was a great sufferer for some weeks before his death. The deceased was quite well known to many Webster City people. He had lived in the vicinity of Blairsburg ever since a boy and used to be a frequent visitor to Webster City. He died at the age of fifty-three years.

[buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Williams; son of James Gleason, Sr]
