Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday in Marshalltown for Mrs. Luther Granby, 68, former Williams resident.

Mrs. Granby died Wednesday at St. Thomas Mercy hospital in Marshalltown. She had been in failing health for the past five years.

Rosary will be this evening at 8:30 in the Estel funeral home at Marshalltown, and following the Saturday morning services, burial will be made in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery at Williams.

Mrs. Granby was born in Bohemia Sept. 26, 1882. When she was 14, the family came to the Garner community. In 1899 she was married to John Franklin and the family lived at Williams where Mr. Franklin died in 1915.

In 1924 she was married to Luther Granby, and they continued to live at Williams until going to Marshalltown in 1943. Surviving are the widower and nine children: Mrs. Roy Cummings, Mrs. Fred Anderson, Leo Franklin and W.H. Franklin, all of Marshalltown; Mrs. Keith Dearborn of Boone; Pete Franklin of Clarinda; Mrs. Fred Caruth of Williams; Mrs. Jack Reese of Jewell and Ray Franklin of Monrovia, Calif.
