Richard Coulson, 82, Waterloo, a former Webster City resident, died Friday, Feb. 8, at the Americana Care Center in Waterloo. Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 1:30 p.m. at the Graceland Cemetery in Webster City. Relatives and friends are asked to meet at the Foster Funeral Home in Webster City at 1 p.m.

Richard LeRoy Coulson, son of Robert and Estella (Bentley) Coulson, was born July 18, 1908, in Blue Earth, Minn. He was educated in Webster City. He married Laura Claussen on Sept. 26, 1936, in Webster City. The couple resided in Webster City, where he was employed at Hart-Carter Co. for 20 years as the foreman on the woodworking department. He also operated a saw sharpening shop for 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife in July 1971, and had resided in care centers since April 1989.

He is survived by a son, Gary Coulson, Waterloo; a daughter, Twyla (Mrs. David) Jorgensen, Blairsburg; five grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Malaise, Woolstock; and a brother, Don Coulson, Cope, Colo.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
