HEART ATTACK PROVES FATAL

Mrs. D. E. Phelan, Mother of Mrs. Lloyd Karr, Dies in City

Mrs. D. E. Phelan, 58, mother of Mrs. Lloyd Karr, of this city, died at the hospital last evening from a heart attack. Death was sudden, but not unexpected, as she had been in failing health for more than two years.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church in charge of the Rev. Father E. J. Frein, and burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery, with Foster's in charge.

The rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Foster's funeral home.

She leaves her husband, a Fort Dodge attorney, two daughters, Mrs. Karr and Mrs. Ben Levine, of San Diego, Cal., who is enroute to this city, and two sisters, Mrs. John Rabaly of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. John Quinn, of Minneapolis.

She had lived in this city two years with her daughter. Previous to that she had lived in Fort Dodge where she was widely known and where she was prominent socially for many years before her health began to fail. She was born in Fountain, Minn.
