Mrs. A.E. (Lenore) Williams, 84, longtime Webster City area resident, died Sunday evening at the Hamilton County hospital where she had been a patient for five days.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church with the Rev. Father Joseph Sullivan officiating and with burial in Calvary cemetery.
Rosary will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday and also at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home.
Lenore E. Walsh, daughter of James J. and Mary J. Kelly Walsh, was born June 4, 1892, at Creston, Iowa where she was reared and educated.
She attended St. Joseph's Academy in Des Moines and then taught school in the Creston area.
On Nov. 18, 1914, she was united in marriage to Aethur E. Williams, and the couple lived in Creston until 1940, when they moved to Webster City and Mr. Williams purchased a drug store. She worked with her husband in the Williams Drug store until 1971 when she retired.
She is survived by one son and one daughter, Darwyn J. Williams, and Mrs. JoAnn Calumet, both of Webster City; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Helen Pefferle of Des Moines and Mrs. Elizabeth Bradley of Creston, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one son; one daughter; one grandchild; her parents; one brother and two sisters.
Mrs. Williams was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic church and also was a member of the Rosary Society, Catholic Daughters.
