JEWELL - Fred William Bonner, 84, longtime Jewell resident, died suddenly at 7:30 this morning at his home in Jewell.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Becker Funeral home with Capt. R.R. Marken of Hampton officiating and with burial in Evergreen cemetery.

Fred William Bonner was born March 5, 1884, at Jewell, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William D. Bonner. He was married to Mabelle Clair, and the couple farmed for many years in the Jewell area, moving into Jewell after their retirement.

Surviving are his wife; 11 step-children; one brother, Roy Bonner; three sisters, Mabel Bonner of Jewell, Gladys Clappison of Omaha and Marion Bonner, Jewell; 52 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
