Funeral services for Eldon E. Adams, 51, of Kamrar, were held at 1:30 today at the Foster Funeral home. The Rev. Marvin L. Camp officiated, and burial was in Graceland cemetery where flag folding ceremonies were conducted by American Legion Post 191.

Mr. Adams died Saturday at his home in Kamrar from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had been suffering from a terminal illness for the past year.

Eldon Eldridge Adams, son of Carl and Eva May Riley Adams, was born July 2, 1921, at Webster City. He was reared and educated in Hamilton county, and during World War II served with the U.S. Army. He was a self-employed mechanic.

He was united in marriage on June 30, 1946, to Joan B. Kendzior, and the couple always resided in the Webster City and Kamrar communities.

Mr. Adams is survived by his wife and seven children: Steven L. Adams, Des Moines; Michael R. Adams, Kamrar; Chris D. Adams, Woolstock; and Cindy E., Marcia M., Carla M. and Sonya D. Adams, all of Kamrar.

He is also survived by one grandchild; his mother, Mrs. Eva M. Adams of Webster City, and four sisters, Mrs. Hester Seaboch of Webster City, Mrs. Melvin (Loreen) Hove of Oelwein, Mrs. Floyd (Jean) Stoppelmore of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Kenneth (Gwen) Neese of Webster City.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister, Mildred Adams.
