DEATH CLAIMS MRS. E. ISHAM

Pioneer Resident of This Vicinity Passes Away at Family Home After Brief Illness.

68 YEARS OF AGE

Succumbed to Attack of Pneumonia After Short Illness.

Mrs. E. Isham, a well known and much respected resident of this city and vicinity for many years, died last night at 8:45 o'clock at the family home at 827 Water street, following a brief illness with pneumonia.

Final arrangements for the funeral will await word from relatives at distant points.

The deceased was born in Wisconsin, May 31, 1852, and was therefore 68 years of age at her last birthday. She was united in marriage to Eugene Isham on Jan. 28, 1871, and had she lived three weeks longer the couple would have celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Isham came to Iowa from Wisconsin forty-five years ago and for many years the family resided on a farm north of this city. Eight years ago they retired from the farm and moved to Webster City, where they had since made their home.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Isham is survived by six children, three sons - Ray, Mason and Robert of this city, and three daughters, Mrs. Frank Creed of Boyd, Montana, Mrs. Bessie Peterson of this city, and Mrs. E.E. Daniels of Duncombe. Also a brother, John Dryden of Kearney, Neb., who is expected here for the funeral, and two sisters living in Seattle, Wash.
