Alden A. Flaws, 72, longtime Webster City resident, died Sunday afternoon at Southfield Care Center where he had resided since last Friday. He had been in ill health the past year.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 Wednesday morning at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Raymond Roden officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery.

Alden Archie Flaws, son of Robert and Ethel Stanhope Flaws, was born Aug. 1, 1911, in Cass township. He was educated in Webster City schools.

On June 9, 1944, he was united in marriage to Juanita Asklund at Des Moines. The couple resided in Webster City where Mr. Flaws was engaged in the trucking business for 37 years until his retirement in 1974. He continued to live in Webster City.

He is survived by his wife; three sons and two daughters, Robert Flaws of Woolstock, Dean Flaws of Webster City, Mrs. Roger (Arliss) Korioth of Richardson, Texas, Mrs. Roger (Janice) Beem of Duncombe and Steven Flaws of White Bear Lake, Minn.; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Maplet Wayman of Webster City.

He was preceded in death by one son, three grandchildren and his parents.
