Ilse Namanny, 91, of Kamrar, died Monday, May 2, 2016, at Crestview Manor in Webster City. A service honoring Ilse's life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 14, at Faith United Methodist Church in Webster City with the Rev. Michael Slininger officiating. Commital services will be held at the 11 a.m. on Monday, May 16, at the Iowa Veterans Cemetery near Van Meter where Ilse will be interred along with her husband Alvin, a veteran of the United States Army.

Ilse is survived by her children Wayne (Kathy) Namanny; and Brenda (David) Guddall, all of Fort Dodge; Charlotte Walters, Webster City; Joan (Bill) Denny, Belleville, IL; nine grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Ilse was preceded in death by her parents, husband Alvin, two brothers and one sister.

Ilse Johanna Melanie Bullmann, the daughter of Otto and Henrietta (Sanders) Bullmann, was born January 12, 1925, in Bierstadt, Germany. Ilse was reared in Wiesbaden, Frankfurt and Mannheim, Germany. On November 20, 1948, Ilse was united in marriage to Alvin Namanny at Mannheim, Germany. She came to America in 1948, became an American citizen in 1954, and she was a farm wife and homemaker. The couple lived at Kamrar for many years.

Ilse enjoyed embroidery, quilting and needlepoint. She was an avid baker and cook and used all of these skills to the benefit of family and her church bazaar. She was an active member of the Kamrar United Methodist Church.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.
