Mrs. Cora Hale, 86, a longtime Fort Dodge resident and formerly of Webster City, died early Wednesday morning at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, Minn. She had been a patient there since Saturday, but had previously been a patient at Mercy hospital in Fort Dodge.

Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock in the chapel of the Laufersweilers Funeral home and at 9:30 a.m. at the Sacred Heart church in Fort Dodge. Msgr. Gerald Kelly will officiate at the requiem high mass.

Catholic Daughters of America will meet at 4 p.m. Friday afternoon, and a parish scripture service will be held at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Friends may call after 10 a.m. on Friday.

Cora Stark, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B.J. [Anna Schropfer] Stark of Fremont township, Hamilton county, was born May 4, 1886. She was graduated from Webster City high school and attended college in Des Moines. Following her graduation, she moved to Hartford, Conn., where she resided prior to her marriage to Dr. John D. Newton, who preceded her in death.

She was united in marriage to Henry O. Hale in 1938. Mr. Hale died in 1948. Following his death, she continued to make her home in Fort Dodge.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Harry A. [Catherine Stark Fagan] Little of Webster City; and several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the Mercy Hospital Auxiliary, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America, and of the Sacred Heart Catholic church.
