Denny Willson was born March 29, 1949 in Webster City Iowa where he was raised and graduated from Webster City High School in 1967. He joined the United States Navy in 1968 and proudly served until 1972.

He married the love of his life, Dee Branyord, in 1969 in Webster City where they lived and raised their three children: Matthew, Mark and Marnie. Denny worked as a paramedic at Hamilton County Public Hospital until 1992 when he and Dee moved to Des Moines, Iowa. Denny worked at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in the Cardiac Cath lab until 2011 when he retired. They spent the next year in Florida. In 2012 they moved to Boone, Iowa to be close to family, and they have been there since.

Denny died January 28, 2016 at the age of 66 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Etheldra Willson and in-laws Arnold and Phyllis Branyord, all who had lived in Webster City.

Denny is survived by his wife Dee, of Boone, Iowa; children: son Matthew of Chokoloskee, Florida; son Mark and wife Carrie of Boone, Iowa; and daughter Marnie Bolinger and husband Wayne of Rogers, Arkansas; his adored grandchildren: Connor, Lexi, Selena, Sophia, Ella, Taylor, Grayson, Wyatt, Cameron and Reese; and of course his precious great-grandchildren: Lana and Beckham. Also surviving are his loving brothers: Jerry (Pete) Peterson and his wife Karen, and Wes Willson and his wife Kim, all of Webster City; and sister-in-law Sandy Kent of Marion, Iowa.

Denny loved camping, fishing, golfing, reading, wood-working with his son, Mark, and, of course, talking to anyone who wanted to talk. But most of all, in ANY situation he loved to make people laugh. He never met a stranger, was never seen without a smile, and was so very proud to be called a friend to anyone. He would want to be remembered as a man who was a true friend to all, who had no regrets, and who fought the good fight.

"Keep on keepin' on" -Denny
