Merna Smith was born March 5, 1928 in Fernald, Iowa. The daughter of James and Stella Boucher. She married Francis H. Smith in Fairmont, Minnesota, July 14, 1948.

She is survived by her husband, Francis Smith, sisters Shirley (Sam) Knoll, Webster City, Iowa, Marian (Ray) Eccles, Manson, Iowa, brother, Jim (Mary Anne) Blue Eye, Missouri.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, brother Robert Boucher, sisters Betty (George, Lee) Knoll, Virginia (Thomas) Thompson, Algona, Iowa, Myrtle (Neal) Grove, Webster City, Iowa, Margaret (Wayne) Dakin, Webster City, Iowa, Ruth (Tom) Caquelin, Woolstock, Iowa. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service was held Sat. Jan. 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church.
