Mrs. Herman (Jennie) Satre, 80, died Friday evening at Crestview Manor.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Grace United Methodist church in Stanhope with Rev. William Van Dam officiating and with burial in Graceland cemetery. Foster's Funeral home had charge of the services.

Jennie Louise Beshey, daughter of Frank and Anna Hunter Beshey, was born Oct. 2, 1904, on a farm near Woolstock. She was educated in the rural Woolstock schools.

On Feb. 26, 1920, she was united in marriage to Leonard Busing, and the couple resided at Denver, Colo. To this union, one son and two daughters were born. She moved to Stanhope in 1933 and operated the Busing Cafe for 14 years.

On June 9, 1936, she was married to Herman Satre, and the couple resided in Stanhope and operated the Satre Hardware store for seven years.

They then moved to Des Moines where she gave piano and organ lessons for many years. The couple retired in 1974 and lived in Stanhope and Harlingen, Texas.

In May, 1984, she moved to the Stratford Care Center and in September she moved to Crestview Manor.

She is survived by her husband; one son and two daughters, Edward Busing, Stanhope, Mrs. Leola McClure, Harlingen, Texas, and Mrs. Dorothy Drake, San Benito, Texas; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harold Beshey.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist church in Stanhope and for many years was the church organist. She was also active in the church circles, and was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America.
