ARCH LINDSAY DIED TUESDAY

Funeral Services to Be Held Here Friday Afternoon

Arch Lindsay, 82, died Tuesday evening at the hospital where he had been a patient for two days. He had been in failing health for some time and had been cared for at the George Jewett home the past several years.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Foster Funeral home, the Rev. J. J. Share officiating. Burial in Graceland cemetery.

Mr. Lindsay was born April 21, 1861 in Brown county, Ill., where he grew to young manhood on a farm. He was married to Mary Starr in 1888 and to this union two sons were born, Ed, now in Montana, and Ora of Davenport. Mrs. Lindsay died in 1893.

Coming to Iowa in 1907, Mr. Lindsay was employed for many years in farm work in Hancock county and later in Hamilton county.

Also surviving are four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
