George D. Thompson, age 90, passed away October 2, 2015. George was born in Webster City in 1924. After his father's premature death in Cleveland, Ohio, George returned to Webster City where he was raised by his Aunt Bessie Pinkele and Uncle Carl Pinkele. He graduated from Webster City High School in 1942 and went into the army. After WWII he attended the University of Iowa where he graduated with a law degree in 1951. He moved to California after law school and began practicing law. George Married Eleanor Connell, who passed away in 2013.

George and Ellie are survived by Mary Anne, Nancy, Michael; three granddaughters, and cousin Carl Pinkele, a son David predeceased them. Services will be held at Fort Rosencrance November 6, 2015.
