James C. Foell, 29, died suddenly at 6:50 last evening at his home, 1207 Water St.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Congregational church in Blairsburg with the Rev. Clark Crowell and the Rev. Preston Hinderks of Iowa Falls officiating and with burial in the Blairsburg cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 10 a.m. Friday when it will be taken to the church.

James Clemens Foell, son of Clemens and Doris Foell, was born April 29, 1931, at Alden, Iowa. When he was a small boy, he moved to Blairsburg with his parents. He was educated in the Blairsburg schools and was graduated in 1948. He later attended and was graduated from Buena Vista college at Storm Lake. During his high school and college years he was outstanding in sports, especially in baseball and basketball. He engaged in minor league baseball in Minnesota.

He was united in marriage Jan. 6, 1952 to Gwendolyn Ruth Klaver. They resided at Storm Lake until 1953, when they moved to Webster City. Mr. Foell was a supervisor at the Morton Frozen Foods plant, but since June, 1960, had been a salesman for the Nissen Packing Co.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter and one son: Karen and Kevin Foell; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clemens Foell of Rockwell, Iowa; three brothers and two sisters, Dale and Robert Foell, both of Osage, Iowa, Ronald Foell of Rockwell, Mrs. Richard (Janice) Noss of Sheffield and Donna Lee Foell of Rockwell; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Hawke of Sheffield.

Mr. Foell was a member of the Congregational church at Blairsburg and of the Elks lodge in Webster City.
