Mary Patricia (Pat) Donovan, died peacefully on September 26, 2015 at the age of 95. She was born in Webster City, IA on January 30th, 1920. She was preceded in death by parents, Nickolas and Margaret Kennedy; husband Frank; brother James; sisters Kay Rhodes, Alice Chambers, and Peggy Rasdal; son in law, Jim Atchley; and great-granddaughter Lily. She resided in Webster City, IA and was a member of the Town and Country Garden Club, active in the Democratic Party, and enjoyed the many activities of the Old Car Club. Pat graduated from Iowa State University and taught elementary school for 20 years. When she moved to Anoka, MN 15 years ago, she was able to continue her lifelong passion for gardening. Her flowers provided a great deal of joy for her and the residents of the Farmstead. She enjoyed reading, birding, spending time with family, and travelling; especially to the east and west coast. She was an ever loving grandparent. She is survived by sons, Michael (Nancye), Dennis (Martha), and Tim; daughter, Peggy; grandchildren, Caitlin, Alice (Anthony), Michelle, Brian, Devin, and Ryan; 3 great-grandchildren, Bailey, Avery, and Philip; and many nieces and nephews and their children. Her independent spirit will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Her strong Catholic faith was an important part of her life. A Mass will be held in her honor at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Webster City, IA on October 31st at 10:30 AM.
