Adolph Welp, 68, longtime resident of the Kamrar community, died early this morning at the home of his brother, Eppo, one-fourth of a mile south of Kamrar. His death was sudden, being attributed to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Presbyterian church east of Kamrar, preceded by a brief service at 1:30 at the Eppo Welp home. The Rev. Loren Parman will officiate and burial will be in the Presbyterian cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster funeral home until 8 am Monday when it will be taken to the family home.

Adolph Welp, son of Dick and Gepke Welp, was born Feb. 6, 1893, on a farm northeast of Kamrar. He was reared and educated in the Kamrar community. He served in World War 1 serving overseas in France. Following his discharge from the service, he returned to Kamrar, his home since.

He is survived by two brothers and two sisters: Eppo Welp, Kamrar, Ray Welp, Titonka, Iowa, Mrs. Joe (Hilka) Tempel, Kamrar, and Mrs. Kate Groen, Burt, Iowa; 32 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

Mr. Welp was baptized in the Presbyterian faith.
