John Trampel, Sr., was born May 5, 1847 in Germany and died at his home in Kamrar Sept. 11 at the age of 78 years, four months and five days.

He was united in marriage with Miss Anna Grensberg. In 1881 they came to America and settled on a farm near Kamrar and in 1912 moved to town to spend the remainder of their days. Eight children were born, one of whom died in 1923. The wife died last February. Five sons, two daughters and brother and 30 grandchildren survive. The funeral will be held tomorrow at the German Presbyterian church east of Kamrar, Rev. H. N. Gerdes officiating.
