Mrs. Trampel, Kamrar, is dead

Mrs. Martha Trampel, 76, Kamrar, died Thursday about 7:45 p.m. in the Story City Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. from the Kamrar Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Loren Parman officiating. Burial will be in the Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Becker Funeral Home in Jewell until 11 a.m. Monday when it will be taken to the church.

Born July 5, 1885 near Jewell the daughter of Albert and Mary Merritt, she was married to Joe Trampel at Mason City on February 9, 1938.

Survivors include six step-children, Mrs. John Van Loh of Ackley, Elfred Trampel of Webster City, Lester Trampel of Kamrar, Mrs. Ronald Twedt of Ellsworth, Mrs. Arling Erickson of Jewell and Mrs. Truman Twedt of Williams, a brother, Dave Merritt of Story City; a sister, Mrs. Jerry House, Webster City; 17 grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.
