Donald Tempel, 50, a lifelong resident of Kamrar, died Saturday evening at the University Hospitals in Iowa City where he had been admitted earlier in the day.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m Tuesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Marvin L. Camp officiating and with burial in the Presbyterian cemetery near Kamrar.

Donald Tempel, son of Joe and Hilka Welp Tempel, was born Dec. 14, 1922 at Kamrar, where he was reared and educated. He had always made his home on a farm near Kamrar and had been engaged in the plumbing trade.

He is survived by his five sisters and five brothers, Mrs. Harry (Katie) Hassebrock, Jewell, Mrs. Gaylord (Dorothy) Hoversten, Radcliffe. Mrs. Margaret Arends, Jewell, Richard Tempel, Webster City, Virgil Tempel of Jewell, Harold Tempel, Kamrar, Joey Tempel, Kamrar, Mrs. Ernest (Ruth) Anderson, Iowa Falls, Elton Tempel, Kamrar, and Mrs. Francis (Naomi) Park, Webster City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, John, who died in 1968.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian church near Kamrar.
