J.H. TAPPER DIES AT AGE OF 90 YEARS

Passes Away at Farm Home Southeast of Webster City.

John H. Tapper, Sr., passed away at his home, eight miles southeast of Webster City, at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the age of 90 years. His death was caused by old age and yellow jaundice with which he had been suffering for six weeks. He had been confined to his bed for only a week.

He was born in Germany and in 1887 with his wife and five children, came to America, settling in Hamilton county. Three of his children were already in America when he came. Since coming to this county he has always made his home in the vicinity of Kamrar and was well known in that community. He was a member of the Presbyterian church east of Kamrar.

There are left to mourn his death three sons - H.H. Tapper, of near this city, Joe H. Tapper of Buffalo Center, and J.E. Tapper, who resides on the home place and two daughters, Mrs. Carl Klooster of near Webster City, and Miss Minnie Tapper, who resides at home. His wife preceded him in death five years ago.

The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at the home, Rev. H. N. Gerdes, pastor of the Kamrar Presbyterian church, will officiate.
