Woman, 65, Falls Dead in Doorway

KAMRAR, Iowa, Jan. 24 - Miss Lena Mechaelsen, 65, a resident of Hamilton county for 63 years, dropped dead at her home here yesterday.

She had been in her usual good health. While about her usual morning housework, she started out of doors on some errand, and fell in the doorway.

Her brother, Ben Mechaelsen, came to her aid but she was dead. County Coroner E. F. Rambo was called and pronounced death due to a heart attack.

Funeral services will be held at the German Presbyterian church east of Kamrar tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock, following a short service at the home. Fleenor's of Jewell in charge. [burial in Presbyterian cemetery]

Miss Mechaelsen is survived by two brothers, Peter and Ben, both of Kamrar, and many nephews and nieces.

She was born in Germany and came to the United States with her parents [Seafka and Bertha Ohden Mechaelsen] when she was two years old. The family located in Hamilton county where she had since lived.
