Webster City Freeman, Monday, March 25, 1918

Mrs. Geo. Fonken, a pioneer resident of Kamrar and vicinity, passed away Friday at an advanced age. She had been confined to her bed practically all winter, suffering with ailments incident to her advanced years.

Mrs. Fonken had lived in Hamilton county for nearly half a century and was well known and highly respected by a large number of friends. For years she and her son and daughter, N. Fonken and Miss Anna Fonken, had lived together in the old family home, the husband and father having passed away some thirteen years ago. Three sons and three daughters survive the mother and all are residents of Kamrar and vicinity except one, who lives in Missouri. He is here for the funeral which was held today.
