Daily Freeman Journal, Monday, November 30, 1992

Ollie Denekas, 83, Webster City, died Nov. 27, 1992 at Crestview Manor. Services were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Presbyterian Church in Kamrar with the Rev. Robert Roof officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made bv Foster Funeral Home in Webster City.

Ollie Luppes, daughter of John and Engel (Welp) Luppes, was born Feb. 25, 1909 on a farm east of Kamrar. She attended a rural school in that area.

On June 20, 1927, she married Ed Denekas at Kamrar. The couple farmed in the Jewell and Blairsburg areas. Her husband died in March 1988. She had resided at Crestview Manor for the past three years.

She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Lester and Edna Denekas of Kamrar; grandchildren, Ron Denekas of Kamrar and Mary Ann Kasel of Osage; great-grandchildren, Christy and Bryan Denekas; and sister, Elsie Nelson of Story City. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Memorials may be left to the church.
