Mrs. Louis (Bertha) Brinkema, 81, a longtime resident of Kamrar, died Sunday at the Hamilton County hospital. She had been a patient there for one week, and in ill health the past year.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian church at Kamrar with the Rev. Marvin Camp officiating and with burial in the Presbyterian cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Foster Funeral home until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday when it will be taken to the church.

Bertha Olthoff, daughter of Henry and Jennie Van Langen Olthoff, was born Aug. 7, 1897 at Kamrar, where she was reared and educated.

She was married to Louis Brinkema June 26, 1918, and the couple had always resided in the Kamrar community.

She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Boyd (Ruth) Berven of Webster City, Mrs. Eugene (Marguerite) Klaver of Webster City and Mrs. Ardys Luppes of Radcliffe; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Ole Olthoff of Kamrar and Louis Olthoff of Webster City; two sisters, Mrs. Wempkie Jaycox of Webster City and Mrs. Lena Havinga, Webster City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters, and a son-in-law.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian church.
