Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Foster Funeral home for Tom Brinkema, 48, former Kamrar resident, who died Saturday, Oct. 13 at Mattoon, I11.

Robert Orr officiated at the services, with burial being made in Graceland cemetery.

Tom Brinkema, son of Ernest and Rose Tjabben Brinkema, was born Jan. 16, 1931 at Kamrar where he was reared and educated.

He was married to Evelyn Hanson and they operated a welding shop in Kamrar for many years.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Dennis (Darcy) Maronn of Eldora, Julie Ann Brinkema, Eagle Grove; one grandson, Brooks Maronn; one brother and one sister, Ernest Brinkema and Mrs. Bessie Anderson, both of Kamrar; and two nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
