John Barth, who resided on a farm north of the German church north-west of town, died at his home Saturday afternoon at three o'clock. The funeral was held Monday afternoon. The deceased was about forty years of age and leaves a wife and two children to mourn his loss.

He had been suffering for some time with consumption, which finally caused his death. During the past five years four of the Barth family have been taken away with this dread affliction. Mr. Barth was a well known farmer in the German community where he lived and a large circle of friends and neighbors deeply regret his untimely death and extend to the stricken family their heartfelt sympathy.
