Robert Lee Tempel, 35, a former resident of the Kamrar-Webster City community, died suddenly Tuesday at Boston, Mass.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Marvin Camp officiating and with burial in the Presbyterian cemetery near Kamrar. Friends may call at the funeral home from Friday morning until the time of services.

Robert Lee Tempel, son of John and Gladys Stout Tempel, was born April 24, 1937 at Webster City. He was reared and educated in Kamrar.

He served for 11 years in the United States Air Force, three years being in Hawaii and another in South Vietnam. Following his discharge, he had made his home in Boston.

He is survived by one son, Gregory Lee, Santa Maria, Calif.; his mother and stepfather, Mr. and Mrs. William Naber of Webster City; four brothers and two sisters, Roger Tempel, Fullerton, Calif., Ronald Tempel, West Union, Iowa, Gary Tempel and Mrs. Paul (Delores) Kern, both of Webster City, Mrs. Gary (Judy) Kessel of Dows, and Randy Tempel of Webster City, and also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He was a member of the United Methodist church at Kamrar.
