Mrs. Dena Johnson, 82, a longtime resident of the Kamrar and Webster City area, died last evening at Crestview Manor where she had been a resident the past three years.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Greenfield Memorial Chapel with Charles Preston and Terry Visser officiating. Burial will be made in the Graceland cemetery.

Dena Hassebrock, daughter of George and Jennie Bonk Hassebrock, was born Feb. 23, 1891 at Kamrar.

On Dec. 23, 1907 she was married to Reinder Johnson at Kamrar, and the couple farmed in the Kamrar area until 1914 when they moved to Lakota, Iowa. In 1942, they moved back to the Kamrar community and engaged in farming.

She is survived by seven children: Mrs. Emil Pruismann, Jewell, Mrs. Martin Ekman, St. James, Minn., Reinder Johnson of Albert Lea, Minn., Mrs. Ival Esland of Blue Earth, Minn., Andrew Johnson, Kamrar, Mrs. Herman Hutchinson, Waterloo, and Miss Cathryn Johnson, Waterloo; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters and three brothers, Mrs. George Arends of Blairsburg, Mrs. Conrad Fonken, Kamrar, Mrs. Elmer Van Langen, Kamrar, Mrs. R. D. Arends, Stanhope, Theodore Hassebrock, Kamrar, George Hassebrock, Jewell, and Ralph Hassebrock, Jewell. Also surviving is a cousin, Henry Junker.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son.
