Guy Clabaugh, 83, Route 1, Webster City, a longtime resident of the Kamrar-Webster City area, died Monday evening at the Southfield Care Center where he had been residing the past three weeks. He had been in ill health the past nine months.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Foster Funeral home with the Rev. Michael Shreve officiating and with burial in the Graceland cemetery.

Guy Clabaugh, son of W.W. and Minnie Olson Clabaugh, was born March 4, 1896, at Stanhope, where he was reared and educated.

He was united in marriage in August, 1920 to Ella Robbins, and the couple made their home on a farm two and one-half miles southwest of Kamrar. To this union, two sons and one daughter were born, Elmer Clabaugh of Jewell, Mrs. Dale (Charlotte) Munson, Des Moines, and one son, James, who died in infancy.

He was preceded in death by his wife March 31, 1931.

He was married in 1933 to Eleanor Johnson, and the couple made their home on the Clabaugh farm. To this union, two sons were born, Lee Clabaugh of Eagle Grove and Lyal Clabaugh of Urbandale.

On April 19, 1951, he was married to Helen Stark Dickerson, and the couple since had made their home on the Clabaugh farm.

He is survived by his wife, and in addition to the above named children, he is survived by a step-son and a step-daughter, Gerold Dickerson of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Mrs. Loretta Fevold of Cedar Falls; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is one brother, Charles Clabaugh of Stanhope.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.

He attended the Kamrar United Methodist church.
