Ruth Bell, 100, Webster City, died March 7, 2003 at the Southfield Wellness Community in Webster City. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Webster City. A reception will follow the service and then family interment services will follow in the Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church after 1 p.m. Wednesday. Arrangements are being handled by the Gunderson Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Fort Dodge.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Marvin Elliott of Webster City; son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Morlene Bell, Duncombe, son-in-law, Bob Yockey of Delaware, Ark., 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl on June 4, 1983, a son, Robert, in 1940, a daughter, Virginia Yockey in 1996, her parents and three sisters.

Ruth Agnes Williams, the daughter of J Frank and Lydia Spainhower Williams, was born July 20, 1902, on a farm near Duncombe. She was educated in rural schools and graduated from Fort Dodge High School. She was married on Feb. 9, 1921 to Carl Bell at Webster City. The couple farmed in Hamilton and Webster Counties until moving to Webster City in 1966. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
