Clinton Stemsrud, 87 of Webster City died Wednesday, February 21, 2001 at the Crestview Manor Care Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Funeral Home with Pastor Ray Artrip officiating. Burial will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and prior to services on Saturday.

Clinton Burger Stemsrud, son of Burger and Mable Christiansen Stemsrud, was born July 7, 1913 at Grinnell, Iowa. He received his education from Grinnell Community Schools. On September 3, 1935, he married Ruth Cole at Austin, Mn. The couple resided in Webster City. He was employed by Webster City Products (Electrolux) for over 38 years, retiring in 1982.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth, sons and daughters-in-law, Dennis and Bobbeye Stemsrud of Las Cruces, NM., Randy and Shari Stemsrud of Indianola, Iowa, daughter and son-in-law, Cheryll and David Entriken, Webster City, son-in-law, Albert Carpenter, Webster City, 13 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; sisters Mildred Black of Webster City, Nell Shimer of Brownsville, Wi., Bernice Capasso of Ocala, Fl., and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Carpenter, two grandchildren, Brian and Lori Carpenter, three brothers and one sister.

He was a member of the Webster City Church of Christ, Sons of Norway, U.A.W. # 442, and Moose Lodge #735.
