DEATH TAKES THEODORE WING

Prominent Stanhope Resident Will Be Buried Sunday Afternoon

Theodore Wing, 65, widely known Stanhope resident, died at the hospital at 10:45 a.m. today, death being caused by a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in poor health about two weeks, but had been seriously ill since Tuesday morning. He was brought to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Our Savior's Lutheran church at Stanhope, preceded by a brief service at the home at 2:30 o'clock. The Rev. Monson will officiate and burial will be made in the Zion cemetery, with Foster's in charge.

Severt Theodore Wing was born April 27, 1876, in Story county. At the age of 11 he went to Jewell to make his home with his uncle, Goodman Wing. He grew to young manhood near Jewell and he was married Sept. 12, 1900 to Christina Monson, of Hamilton county.

They lived in Hamilton county until 1930, when they moved to Stanhope where he had since been engaged in the pool and ice business.

His parents, a daughter, two half sisters and two half brothers preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his death his wife, three daughters and five sons: Mrs. Herschel Wilson, Lynd, Minn., Clarence, Jess, Clifford and Leonard, of Stanhope, Earnest, who is in the United States navy, Mrs. Don Brower, Three Rivers, Mich., and Mrs. Don Hadaway, also of Three Rivers.

There are 18 grandchildren, a brother, Oscar Wing, of Jewell, and a sister, Mrs. Mike Kinglin, of Spencer, Okla.

He was baptized in the Lutheran faith and was a member of the former Zion church.

Mr. Wing was a prominent resident of the Stanhope community where he was known as a good citizen and neighbor and a kind husband and father. His death will be mourned by a host of friends.
