Martha Marie Demiter, 66, of Des Moines, passed away on December 19th, 2014 after a brief stay at the Taylor Hospice House in Des Moines. Martha bravely battled COPD for the past several years, and quietly passed in her sleep.

Martha was born in Ohio, where she married Paul Demiter, her husband of 39 years. In 1979, the family moved to Iowa, where they were residents of Webster City until 2006.

Martha worked at the Land O' Lakes Answer Farm in rural Webster City for over 20 years.

Family was very important to Martha, and she was a warm and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Martha is survived by her daughter Renae Demiter (Tracey) of Des Moines, her son Roger Demiter (Kristine) of Story City, and her granddaughter Jennifer.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul (2006), and her 3 brothers, John, Robert, and Donald.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 28th, at the Apostolic Christian Church in West Bend Iowa.

Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel, followed by a graveside service. We will then meet in the fellowship hall for lunch to honor the life of Martha Demiter.
